By Craig Drucker, D.C.
The Chiropractor is specially trained to locate subluxations of the spine. These misalignments of the spine can put pressure on the nerves which causes nerve interference and the nerves do not function properly. There is a loss of mobility of the vertebrae and in turn can cause a variety of symptoms. Trauma can cause subluxations to occur as well as emotional stress and tension that builds up day to day. Other causes of subluxations are from bad sleeping positions, bad posture/bad habits, and a poor diet.
After locating these misaligned vertebrae in the spine, Dr. Drucker applies gentle pressure and the slight force allows the body to reposition the vertebrae and removes the pressure on the nerves. By reducing pressure on the nerves, these adjustments can restore proper alignment, improve mobility and relieve pain and stiffness.
Without healthy nerves the body is weak and unable to adapt to environmental stress. So having spinal check-ups is important for everyone. There are many instances when you don't have symptoms so an absence of pain does not always mean an absence of spinal problems.
Chiropractors are the only health care professionals that are specially trained to locate and correct your subluxations. So Chiropractic can help you and your family maintain a longer and healthy life.
